A major Federal program is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and evolve complex ICT network environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in secure, high-assurance domains and can translate business needs into robust, scalable and compliant technical solutions.
The role: You’ll play a key part in shaping the organisation’s network and infrastructure capability. Your work will span design, assurance, documentation and stakeholder engagement across multiple systems and environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and building ICT network infrastructure aligned to whole-of-government security and policy requirements
- Facilitating workshops to capture business requirements and define improved network processes
- Leading continuous improvement activities to ensure capacity, availability and operational resilience
- Providing specialist technical advice to stakeholders and escalating complex issues where architectural input is required
- Managing competing priorities within a team of specialists
- Transferring knowledge to departmental staff and ensuring documentation meets recordkeeping standards
- Producing high quality architectural deliverables including:
- High-level designs and technical security documentation
- Detailed designs and as-built documentation
- SOPs, technical support artefacts and post incident inputs
- Security authorisation and assurance documentation
- High-level designs and technical security documentation
