One of our clients is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys hands-on Cisco engineering, and is committed to delivering secure, reliable, and future?focused network services.

You’ll work across Cisco network infrastructure, contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, and support a critical environment that underpins major government operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Level 3 network support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software.

  • Collaborate with end-users to resolve networking issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as updates, patches, and system upgrades.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance network performance, stability, and processes.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including policies, procedures, and support guides.

  • Work closely with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure reliable network services and continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Active NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent; ITIL highly regarded.

  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, NAT.

  • Experience with WAPs, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and SDA.

  • Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and Microsoft Azure networking technologies.

  • Strong documentation skills across policies, procedures, and technical guides.

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and IT service management practices.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a willingness to share knowledge.

  • Ability to work onsite and participate in an on-call roster, including occasional weekend work
