e2Cyber is exclusively partnering with a growing organisation in the Defence sector to find an experienced Cyber Security Lead who can bring strong technical and consulting capability, while leading and growing an established cyber team.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in both strategy and delivery. You'll lead a team of four cyber professionals, oversee a range of projects, and play a key role in expanding the organisation's cyber capability as demand continues to grow.
We're looking for someone who can confidently engage with stakeholders, provide trusted advice, and lead complex accreditation and assurance activities across Defence-related environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and mentoring a team of cyber security professionals.
- Overseeing the delivery of multiple cyber security projects and engagements.
- Providing technical leadership across cyber initiatives.
- Leading accreditation and assurance activities across networks, systems and applications.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to the growth and development of the cyber practice.
- Supporting both Defence and commercial cyber security initiatives.
You'll likely come from a consulting, advisory, GRC or security assurance background and will be comfortable operating across both technical and stakeholder-facing environments.
Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
- IRAP
- ISMS
- DSPF
- ISO 27001
- Essential Eight
- Security Accreditation
- Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Accreditation of networks, systems and applications
- Defence industry experience (essential)
- Experience working with DISP requirements
- Consulting or client-facing experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience leading teams and technical project delivery
- Previous penetration testing or broader technical security experience would be advantageous
- Lead an established cyber team with plans for significant growth.
- Influence the direction of a developing cyber capability.
- Work across a diverse range of Defence and security-focused projects.
- Maintain a blend of leadership, consulting and hands-on cyber security work.
