Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant - SIEM & Security Operations to play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of advanced security monitoring and detection capabilities across complex, high-security environments.

What will you be doing?
- Design, implement and optimise SIEM and security monitoring solutions across secure, enterprise and operational environments.
- Develop and enhance threat detection capabilities, incident response processes, and security monitoring strategies to improve cyber resilience.
- Integrate SIEM platforms with a range of infrastructure, network, cloud and security technologies to deliver end-to-end visibility.
- Provide senior-level technical expertise for complex incidents, investigations, platform optimisation, and security uplift initiatives.
- Support the delivery of security solutions in highly secure, disconnected, or air-gapped environments where reliability and performance are critical.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, security teams, and technical specialists to deliver successful outcomes and drive continuous improvement across security operations.
Skills and experience required to succeed in this role?
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, or similar enterprise security monitoring solutions.
- Strong background in security operations, threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring within complex environments.
- Proven experience integrating security technologies across Windows, Linux, networking, cloud, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Solid understanding of security logging, detection engineering, incident management, and cyber security best practices.
- Experience working within secure, classified, government or other highly regulated environments, including air-gapped or disconnected networks, will be highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and approximately 6-8 years of industry experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Splunk, Elastic, or cyber security certifications) are desirable.
- Current NV2 or higher Australian Government Security Clearance is required. Work onsite in Canberra, ACT.
Clearance required?
- NV2 Clearance or above.
